I wish I was only referring to having a lie-in or reading a book in the Jardin du Luxembourg in the sunshine, but sadly, I am down to my last week in Paris. When I first came, the trees were bare and there was a bit of a chill in the air, and now the trees are lush and green and it's been so warm and sunny I fear for the dampness and gloom that may be awaiting me in England (they say it's been gorgeous but I haven't seen good weather last for long in all of my 3.5 years there, so I'll believe it when I see it!). I've made a list what of I want to see before I leave, and it's really just a few boutiques and exhibits at this point. There's an Art Deco jewellery show at Les Arts Decoratifs where I saw the Sonia Rykiel exhibit (which I'm now realizing I didn't include here - will follow up - things have been very busy with family and friends visiting and work) and a David LaChapelle retrospective. I had lunch at the incredible La Duree cafe which has some of the best pastries in Paris and one of the most charming settings for lunching with your best girlfriend. Truly Parisian. I won't wrap things up here, it's just a prelude to announce my whirlwind trip is coming to an end. I'm sad, but it's been such a wonderful experience that I can only be grateful. À bientôt Denise
